Maggie Marrelli

Maggie Marrelli was hatched in Vancouver, raised in Toronto and is building a nest in Kingston.  Her work is heavily influenced by theatrical costume and set-design, and by artists such as Alexander Calder, Jasper Johns and Joseph Cornell. Her oeuvre so far has consisted mainly of found materials wired, welded, painted, sculpted, stitched, etc. according to whim and whimsy.  Her artistic focus has been altered recently by the… grounding… experience of motherhood.
