Description: Figurative sculpture of the Sleeping Giant. The sculpture is a 2x enlargement of the clay maquette.
Artist Intention:
"The rebirth of Nanabijou" is sculpted from the finest Carrara statuario marble, hand selected in Italy. This sculpture is a play on the silhouette of the Sleeping Giant, a National landmark located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I utilized the classic enlargement by caliper method to render this sculpture.
The sculpture can sit on a stainless steel base. The sculpture and base are 14x38x9 inches. Both sit atop a grey painted wooden box that is 32x46x18 inches.
