MORE
A Shoreline is defined as “the line along which a large body of water meets the land.” The paintings in this series capture the family memories that happen at this magical place. Beaches are an iconic part of childhood in the summer. They provide a location for swimming and sand exploration. As an artist, I am drawn to these moments to share the nostalgic feeling of a day at the beach. Using a soft colour palette, the paintings portray a dream-like experience of a moment passing in time. Using a dry brush technique to blur my oil paintings, I aim to create the feeling of nostalgia and memory. The soft blurred finish allows the viewer to interpret their own memories for the scene.
