Artist Statement
My work is autobiographical and most often done in oil paint. I have a deep interest in experimentation through various other media such as photography, printmaking and video. Through my work, I investigate and analyze my personal identity as well as the relationships I have with the family members that came before me. I delve into the past to explore the ways in which it has informed my present self as well as inspecting my own dreams and memories. My work is largely figurative with elements of surrealism and horror woven in.
