Osvaldo González Herrera
Osvaldo González Herrera’s work defies conventional definitions; suggesting provocative narratives and enigmatic themes. Born in Cuba and now residing in Montreal, he developed his artistic work within the genres of graphic humor, paintings and graphics.
In 1999 he graduated from the professional art school “Samuel Fijo” specialized in painting and drawing. Hereafter he took part of the Culture Department in the province of Cienfuegos, became member of the Graphical Society in Cienfuegos and worked as a workshop technician in the atelier of prints.
From 2000 to 2003 he served as teacher specialized in painting in the professional Art School “Benny More” and in the School of Art Instructors in Cienfuegos. 2008 he graduated from the Superior Institute of Art of Havana specialized in restoring and conservation of personal property and estate.
He collaborates with various provincial and national humorous publications. His art works has been selected for illustrations to several literary publications and publishers to develop theatrical scenery and scenery of television programs.
He developed his artistic work within the genres of graphic humor, paintings and graphics, his works are parts of private collections and cultural institutes such as foundations and universities.
